Pultusta pussiksi

Blogista on ollut parisen viikkoa hiljaista. Syynä siihen on, päätimme lentää uuden vuoden aattona Atlantin toiselle puolelle Pohjois-Ameriikan mantereelle.

Pojusella on toki useita polvista puhkikuluneita collegehousuja, joten päätin paikkaamisen sijaan leikata pultut (lahkeet siis) poikki. Suhautin saumurilla leikkauspinnat siistiksi, jäljelle jäänyt pultun pätkä vain kääräistiin ja shortsit olivat valmiit. Toki olisi vielä fiksua laittaa muutama tikki kääreeseen, jottei taite aukea, mutta en moiseen laiskuuttani ryhtynyt.

Jäljelle jääneestä pultusta sain avoimen pään kiinni ompelemalla pussin. Resoriin tein reiän (fiksu olisi tehnyt kaksi lähelle toisiaan) ja pujotin nauhan kiristystä varten. Tadaa, pussi ja shortsit olivat valmiit! Toki shortseja ei suostuttu pitämään. Ovat kuulemma liian paksut. Pussia olen käyttänyt ja hyväksi havainnut.

It's been all so quiet here for a couple of weeks. It's due to the fact that we traveled to the States on New Year's Eve. A sneak preview can be found on my Instagram account. I'll tell you all about it later but before our trip I noticed that my headphones didn't have proper bag to travel in nor did our youngster have any shorts.

All the little boy had was a few sweatpants which were worn out at the knees. So instead of patching them up I decided to cut the pant legs away. I stitched them and rolled them up. It would have been a good idea to put a few stitches on the "roll" so they would not unravel but I'm far too lazy for that.

From the leftover leg I sew to opening shut, put a hole in the stretchy cuff/hem/resor/what's-called and stringed a ribbon through the opening for closing the pounch. Tadaa! The shorts and the pouch were ready! Though the boy decided not to wear the pants. They're too thick was the explanation. The punch has been in use several times and works splendidly.
